Today is a new day and a fresh start...

Ask yourself these 6 Questions......

WHO AM I

With a world of confusion for what is right and what is wrong, we are living in a time where people are having a hard time discovering their identity. The moral compass that God gave us seems to be falling to the wayside. It is not hard when we look around, to see mass chaos in the world. People are looking for Peace, Love, Joy and Happiness in all the wrong places.

We live in a world that is screaming at us and telling us who we are suppose to be and what we are suppose to like. We feel pressured many times to be who others say we should be instead of finding out who God says we are and what He wants us to do.

Since we live in a fallen and sinful world, we have to be so careful of the outside influences that we let into our lives. There are so many depressed people in the world, and they are looking for someone to be depressed with them and blame everyone else for their problems.

You are uniquely created by God and with a purpose to fulfill for Him and the greater good of humanity.

The Bible makes it very clear that many people will love pleasure  in this world more than loving God.

We all have to find our identity and purpose in God and genuinely ask ourselves "Who Am I"...

The Bible says....
I am chosen by God who called me out of the darkness of sin and into the light and life of Christ so I can proclaim the excellence and greatness of who He is (1 Peter 2:9).

WHAT DO I BELIEVE

Our Belief system can come from so many things that we experience throughout our lives, whether it be from family, friends or other influences. The fact of the matter is that we exercise faith every day whether we believe it or not. Whether we are flying in a plane, driving our cars, taking a bus, eating or drinking something or even sitting on something. We are assuming that nothing will happen to us and those things will hold up.  We are exercising faith in those things.

Its easy to have more faith in the things that we are able to see, but real faith is trusting in what you do not see.

God loves us so much that He designed a plan for His only son "Jesus Christ" to come to this earth as a man and become the ultimate sacrifice for mankind and the sins of the world, so that we can make it to heaven. Since we have all broken the 10 commandments, God had to design that so we could exercise our Faith by putting our Faith, Hope and Trust in Jesus Christ so we can have a way.

The Bible says....

16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

(John 3:16)

WHEN DID I BELIEVE IT

Can you remember the time in your life when you started believing what you believe. If you go back, I am sure we can all look back and see when that was. The majority of people started from childhood and leaning on their parents for the truth.

There also comes a time in life when the very foundation of peoples belief system is challenged. The fact of the matter is that there is so many beliefs and opinions that people are easily led into the wrong direction because they start believing someones opinion or philosophy.

The Bible says that we have to seek out our own salvation with fear and trembling. The billions of people in the world can not all be correct. There is one truth and one God that created everything.

If you think about it.... when we buy just about anything in life, there is directions and a manual on how it is put together and how it is suppose to work. Why would we be left here without a manual on how we are suppose to work. God gave us this manual called "The Bible" so we would know how to navigate this life. It is kinda like a car manual.... a majority of people never read it, but when something goes wrong there is information inside that helps us find and fix the problem.

The Bible Says....

“In the time of my favor I heard you,

and in the day of salvation I helped you.

I tell you, now is the time of God’s favor, now is the day of salvation.

(2 Corinthians 6:2)

WHERE ARE MY PRIORITIES

In life there can be many things that we consider Priorities... We have Friends, Family, Work, Cars, Houses, Collections, Money and Faith....

The truth is that all those things are important. The problem then there lies not in the priorities themselves but within the order that we put them. Its like anything in life... if we do not have balance or order, then things can quickly turn into mass chaos.

That is exactly what happens when we decide to go our own way without any accountability or order. God gave us the manual on how to live, but when we get away from His designed plan and order is when we can begin to experience chaos. Although family, work and money are greatly needed, we can not put those things in front of God in hopes that our Peace, Love, Joy and Fulfillment will come from anything other than God. That just puts way too much pressure on others in order to provide us complete fulfillment.

When you look at Hollywood, it would appear to many that they have it made. They got millions, massive homes, fancy cars and can pretty much have and do whatever they want.... In case you have not noticed over the recent years there have been a ton of them miserable, depressed and dying of drugs and overdoses. They once again appear to have everything going for them, but they have no real peace in their lives because the are still in search of the one thing that gives them that contentment and peace, and that is a relationship with God and acknowledging His son Jesus Christ and accepting the plan He has laid out for us.

The Bible Says....

What good is it for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul? Or what can anyone give in exchange for their soul?

(Mark 8:36-37)

HOW DO I FIND BALANCE

I believe that finding a balance in the world that we live in today can be one of the biggest challenges that we have today. In a world that tries to pull us in so many different directions, we can get lost in the busyness of just trying to survive and keep our heads afloat.

Just like a measuring scale that balances equal amounts on both sides, our lives are similar. If we get too much on one side or the other, then there will never be balance. I am sure at one point you have heard someone say that we need to have a balance of both work and play...

This area of life in many ways is also like priorities. If we get our priorities out of whack then we will not have the balance that we desire in life, because the two go hand in hand. We were never meant to try to balance this life alone and carry around all the stresses of life that come our way.

There is a much better and simpler way. The balance we all desire can only come with following God designed order. The hard part is making the choice to begin doing things Gods way instead of trying to carry all that and doing it your own way.

The Bible Says....

33 But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.

(Matthew 6:33)

WHY AM I HERE

Another major thing that people struggle with, whether young or old, is asking the question... "What am I here for".

It is very difficult in life to have any sort of motivation or passion to do anything that makes a difference, unless we find out what and why we were created. When we begin using our gifts and talents to make a difference in the lives of others is when we begin to see what purpose is all about.

A majority of the time, finding out what your are here for is as simple as looking at your gifts and talents that God gave you and asking yourself.... what do I love and what are my talents and am I using them for Gods glory instead of my own.

“God put you here to glorify Him. That is why you’re here. And there will come a point in your life when you will realize that life is more about significance than it is about success.”

This idea may come as a revelation to some people, because they think they are here to find personal happiness. Actually, that is not why they exist. And if they chase after personal happiness, they never will find it. We are here to glorify God.

That is why every one of us has been placed on this earth: to bring glory to the God who made us.

Wherever you are, whatever you are doing, make sure that you can glorify God while you are doing it. That is the reason you are here.

The Bible Says....

For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.   (Jeremiah 29:11)
