There is only one road that leads to true life....

There is so much noise in the world that is ruled with opinions. What people need to see is someone that leads by example and not just an opinion. I think it is safe to say that so many people are confused in the world because of all the opinions. True change can only happen in ourselves and in others around us if we will choose to "Lead by being a good example and not just giving our opinions".. The do as I say and not what I do mentality will only cause more harm than good, since people are more influenced by our example!

Just like planning a vacation to go on, is also a way of life. If we want to go somewhere in life, then we can only get there if we make the decision to leave where we are, in order to get to the destination we want to go. We can not plan a vacation, let someone else take our place and expect to enjoy the experience the same way. It is just like everything else in life.... Its all a Choice! If its gonna be then it's up to me. God will not impose on the free will that He gave us. It is our choice to follow God and the plan He has for our lives..

In life we can not control what others choose to do or how they choose to react, since they have a free will just like we do. It is inevitable that both good and bad things happen in life. The only thing we have control over in life is the way that we respond to those situations and circumstances. We may not be able to control what people do, but we certainly can be the thermostat that will help change the temperature of our surroundings that impact the people around us,  that can help them change..

“Those who make idols end up like them. So does everyone who trusts them.”

Psalm 115:8 (GW)

Even good things—like our marriages, our families, our hobbies, the people we admire, or even our ministries in the church—can become idols if we place a greater emphasis on them than on our relationship with God.

Anytime you think fulfillment comes from who you’re with or what you do, you’re setting yourself up for a deep disappointment. Created things simply cannot give us meaning in life; only our Creator can do that.

The Bible says, “The poor, deluded fool . . . trusts something that can’t help him at all. Yet he cannot bring himself to ask: ‘Is this idol that I’m holding in my hand a lie?’” (Isaiah 44:20 NLT).

We want to live in the truth of God’s reality, not in the lie created by our own hand. These idols won’t just stop after they’ve disappointed us. Eventually, they will control us.

On the other hand, if you value Jesus above all else, you’ll become like him.

So if putting something else first in our lives warps us, why do we do it?

We want a god we can control. We want to be able to manage him. But why would you want to follow a god you can control and manage? That’s no god at all.

Guess what? You don’t have to settle for that kind of god. You can choose to give yourself over to an all-knowing, all-powerful God who can take you places far beyond where your fantasies and idols ever could. And that’s a reality that won’t leave you feeling disappointed.

Think about it...

How have you seen other people set up idols in their lives that eventually dominated them?

How can even healthy things become idols in our lives?

Does something currently in your life risk becoming an idol? If so, how can you let go of your control so that doesn’t happen?
